Midland is a not-for-profit, community based organization providing options to families with challenging healthcare needs. We have been serving NE Kansas for thirty years specializing in end-of-life, palliative, bereavement and frail elder care services. We have offices strategically placed to serve our families in these counties located in Council Grove, Lawrence, Ottawa, Seneca and Topeka.
As a not-for-profit, we serve many who cannot pay for services and they are never turned away. We depend on community support from friends like you to make this happen.
Who Pays For Hospice?
Hospice care is a covered benefit under Medicare Part A and Medicaid. Most private insurance companies also have a hospice benefit. Midland receives generous financial support from the communities we serve, including memorials and donations, allowing us to provide care to those who are in need.

What Is Hospice?
Hospice care is a supportive health care option for those who are facing a life-limiting illness. Care takes place in your own home, nursing facility or hospice house and focuses on comfort and quality of life. Hospice is provided in a team approach, consisting of your physician, hospice physician, RN/LPN's, social worker, home health aide, chaplain and volunteers.
