At Stone House Animal Hospital, we believe all our patients deserve to be treated with respect, and we maintain their comfort as our utmost priority. We will never allow an animal in our care to suffer in pain without doing everything within our capabilities to help control or eliminate that pain.
We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to better accommodate the needs of our clients, with no extra late night, holiday or emergency fees.
By offering emergency care in our full service practice, our trauma and critical care patients do not have to be moved to another site the next day, and they are able to receive round-the-clock care, without additional emergency fees. Even routine work is welcomed late at night and early in the morning. We are always accepting
new patients and walk-ins are welcome.
At Stone House Animal Hospital, we believe it’s the little things that make a big difference in patient comfort. Whether its warm towels, stuffed animals or 24 hour attention from our loving staff, we take pride in treating your pet as if were our own.
We want our clients to be as comfortable as their pets! We understand it can be emotionally difficult to leave a member of the family in the hospital or wait for surgery to be complete. Stone House Animal Hospital is proud to offer our clients the opportunity to watch their pets surgery in the surgery room or in our consultation room via closed-circuit television. If you would like to stay the night with your pet, that is fine as well. We don’t want our clients to wonder what is happening – knowledgeable, comfortable clients tend to be more calm which helps your pet to feel more comfortable.
Having a state-of-the-art in-house laboratory allows us to run valuable tests prior to every surgery, and accurately diagnose emergency cases. Because safety, accuracy, and speed count, our in-house diagnostic lab is invaluable.
Stone House Animal Hospital also employs Med-Rx Imaging, ECG heart monitoring and Ultrasound to aid in diagnosing problems without invasive surgeries.
WE PLEDGE to be your pet’s advocate and communicate
their medical needs to you in an honest, friendly, and uncomplicated manner
WE PLEDGE to treat your pet as if it were our own
WE PLEDGE never to compromise your pet’s treatment by “cutting corners”
WE PLEDGE to provide your pet with optimum care and pain management 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Elizabethan collars (cones) are used by some veterinarians to prevent pets from chewing or licking. In our office, these will never be used on our patients.
Patients lick and chew because the site itches or hurts. With today's medical advances, there is no need for such a primitive form of care. Using quality supplies and adequate pain medication, makes the use of cones obsolete.
We can provide your pet with a full range of surgical services from emergency surgeries 24 hours a day, to non-emergency operations like spays and neuters. We use a surgical laser during surgery because of its many advantages. Lasers help to control bleeding and swelling. They decrease healing time, increase surgical precision, and add to your pet's post-op comfort.
We believe the age of your pet should not be a limiting factor in surgical procedures that can enhance its quality of life. Many patients needing surgery are in their golden years. Blood testing on our senior patients can help identify problems that may complicate surgeries, or help the doctors decide on a more appropriate course of treatment for your pet.
Stone House Animal Hospital provides general dentistry and dental radiography for our patients.
Improve your dog or cat's health and breath! Bad teeth can lead to kidney and liver problems, as well as bad breath. Dental exams only take a few minutes.
We understand the special needs of our senior patients and truly believe that senior patients deserve the same level of care as our younger patients. Dentals for our senior patients are done with the appropriate blood tests prior to the procedure and IV fluids are administered to help them after the dental is done. Being a senior patient should not mean having to live with a painful mouth! By taking care of any dental problems we not only eliminate that pain but remove the bacteria build up on the teeth which can lead to kidney and heart disease.
Stone House Animal Hospital is proud to be one of the very few hospitals in the state of Kansas to offer our clients and their pets the benefits of a Therapeutic Laser! This FDA cleared, deep-penetrating light allows relief of pain through the release of endorphins and stimulates the injured cells to heal at a faster rate. It is non-invasive and completely pain free! It provides our patients with faster healing time, eases pain and improves mobility for arthritic patients, provides our senior patients relief from aches and pains, and that’s only the start.
We have seen so many benefits from this treatment regimen and are excited to be able to offer it to our patients!
